Time in Bergolo is flowing in a way nobody can fully understand. Sometimes it feels like everything here just stopped, and nothing is happening. But then you look back and think: “What a productive week we had again!”
We started the week with our first publication for New Wellness Education about our work in Cascina Crocetta. We finished designing our garden and even started planting! This achievement was inspiring for everyone here - Finally, we can visualize the results of our hard work!
Also, we had our first Talking Stick experience in Cascina Crocetta. It was challenging to find a new stick that could help us express our feelings and thoughts. But we managed to complete this task! To be honest, spending the morning in such a beautiful place already makes you feel great. And we're excited to decorate our new stick during future sharing sessions.
The most anticipated event of the week was the arrival of Sophia, a new volunteer from Greece. Milica was a newbie just for one week and gladly passed this outstanding role to the newcomer. Look at these happy faces, girls cannot even imagine what an adventure we prepared for them here in Vagamondo. I'd like to see their looks after discovering all the specifics about the religion we created before they came here.
I hope now there will be more pictures of me on our blog? - Halyna.
At the end of the week, Raúl prepared his first workshop about the relationship between human beings and nature. During the discussion, we shared our thoughts about the environmental crisis and understood better how our actions affect the ecosystem. After that, we did an excellent job preparing the hostel for the first project that starts next week! Poor Flavio, we hope there will be a time for him to rest. In the next life. Maybe...
Oh, and now, when we have Sofia here, it's time for a new challenge - bringing vitality to the apartment on the first floor!
If you think that there is too much activity for one week you're wrong. Volunteers here never stop exploring Italy! This weekend Silvia, Raúl, and Milica attended a plenary session of the Italian Permaculture Academy in Florence. They returned to Bergolo late Sunday night, tired but full of new experiences and precious knowledge about permaculture and people who live in harmony with nature.
I cried when I saw the sea. - Mili
So, yeah, it was a productive week. And we didn't even specify what was Tim doing all this time. But he is always a mystery to us here, so we leave you one more room for imagination.
