Do We Need A Heading Every Time?

Updated: Mar 24, 2023

Hello, people who were waiting for a new Monday post made by the Vitality team! Nice to see you again!

This week, we started by joining the barbecue made for the "Teach and Learn" project participants. It was an entertaining outdoor experience with a lot of singing, dancing, and knowledge sharing. Restful and relaxed Monday. If we only knew that it was the last peaceful day of the week we would enjoy it even more. Are you intrigued? Oh, yeah, you should be.

They say, sometimes you need to get lost to find your way. Flavio, Tim, and Sofi with other "Teach and Learn" participants tried to reach Cortemilia but took the wrong turn, and ended up in Pezzolo. So our volunteers had a magnificent learning experience on how to manage hiking activities. And hopefully, we will never repeat it the way it was organized this time. In the end, for Tim and Mili it became an outstanding chance to practice driving while they were taking home the most tired participants with two cars.

During the week, our volunteers managed to work in the kitchen making food for more than 40 people every day. We learned a lot about preparing food, serving tables, and cleaning the dishes. The most challenging was coordinating the schedule and remember always about all the allergies of the participants. We can only imagine how happy Angelina and Raul are finally passing the torch to Mili and Tim next week.

At the same time, Halyna and Mili were supposed to stay in Cascina Crocetta but as it was raining we were able to enjoy the Cascina vibes only partially, and then worked in the office. At least, we witnessed the sprouting of our little babies in the greenhouse and seeded some new flowers. Oh, our cuties, we miss them already. And, of course, Mili did a perfect job being our driver.

The "Teach and Learn" project wasn't easy for any of us as it was the first project happening in Bergolo during our being here. Even if we had to overcome difficulties in understanding our roles and responsibilities, we discovered our hidden superpowers. We met beautiful people from different countries and created fond memories together. And we all are really happy that the project ended well. Thank God!

Fabri and Tony, our coordinators, literally brought a new spirit to office work. They reorganized the office so now we have much more space here. Everything is changing and you can feel in the air that the "Bergolo Digitale" project is coming soon...

On Sunday we were invited to celebrate the Orthodox Easter together. Mili and Sofia colored eggs and made traditional dishes from their countries. Actually, it was the best event this week. Pity those who missed it.

As you can see, we succeeded in bringing vitality to the apartment on the first floor. So, what's next? We are ready for new challenges.
