“Vitality” is not only about working in the office, Cascina Crocetta, and supporting the projects. One of the important parts of being here is traveling. Last weekend we visited a new place - Cuneo! The city surrounded by the mountains also has beautiful views inside. Not only Cuneo, but the road to the town and back was also amazing. We passed a lot of charming little villages with castles and churches and even created a new game - “see one church - take one shot”. But we didn't play Swear!
Monday was very productive with feedback. We found a lot of things that need to be improved and we are on the way to doing it. Hopefully, it will be finished soon and new volunteers of “Vitality” will work in even more comfortable conditions.
This week we continued the “Cascina Crocetta” research. It is about gathering information about traditional agriculture in the Langhe region of Piemonte. The main goal is digitalizing the knowledge, spreading them, and making sure that society uses them. We have a big job ahead of us like exploring a huge amount of information, making interviews, and organizing the events. We are very excited about it because all of us have a feeling that we can use our university knowledge in practice and make a “real job”!
And now we have one more master chef in our team! Raul made two dinners last week for all of us. The first one almost failed, because one of the dishes - tortilla - was tooooo salty. But who wins? The one, who doesn't give up. So, the second dinner was really amazing! The chicken fricassee brought up us to Heaven. And even more - the cherry on the top was vegan banana cookies So, watch out, Fabiano, you have a rival now.
And we end up where we started - the traveling! Four of our volunteers - Raul, Angelina, Tim, and Sofia started their trip to Zagreb. “The Impressions” coming soon!
