"Bergolo fest" happened last week in our “paese di pietra”. Three days of celebration brought a lot of people to our small place and it was unusually crowded. One of the topics of the festival was Africa. So guests had an opportunity to know more about this continent and (what was the best part) - tried traditional food, chicken and rice with fried bananas. Yummy! By the way, all the donations from sold food went to the organizations which take care of people from Africa (for ex, migrants).

If we continue the migration topic it is important to add that the festival visited writer and activist Soumaila Diawara, who presented the book about geopolitical causes of migration.
It was the most important part of the event, but the most impressive one was the fireworks! You can see it from my window (it is me, Angelina)😊.
In general the festival was strongly supported by the participants from the “Africa EUnite”. During the week young people participated and created a lot of workshops. From my observation the most incredible moment of the project was the dancing workshop. Mysterious word “Funana” dipped youth in the world of African movements, so even “Vitality” volunteers couldn't resist and flowed in the dance🤸🏿♀️.
As you can see, last week Bergolo was full of South vibes🔅.

Meanwhile we continued hard-working days. Sefa and Milli in the kitchen, cooking for 50 persons. Tim, Mia and Raul in the project team, facilitating workshops. Me and Emil in the hostel, waking up early and preparing breakfast and breaks. And Sofi, in Bulgaria, working 12 hours a day during the project🤌.

But we have one person, who was (imagine!) upset, because he couldn't work. Bryan! He accidentally injured his arm and had an unplanned vacation🙃
P.S. And one more note. Last Sunday there was the first saint mass of the year in Bergolo
